Janel Ostrem

We are thrilled to be welcoming a new attorney to our office – Janel Ostrem! Janel comes to us from the firm of Van Siclen, Stocks & Firkins in Auburn. Janel was tired of the long commute to Auburn, and we were lucky enough to be able to offer her an opportunity closer to home.

We were excited by the opportunity to bring Janel in because her philosophy around the practice of law fit in well with ours. She says her clients often describe her as caring, and her approach is to try to never add conflict to an existing situation. Janel strives to keep an open communication channel with opposing counsels to foster settlement discussions, to clarify the legal process for her clients to minimize their stress, and to be thorough and well prepared for court when litigation is necessary.

In addition to her Family Law practice, Janel bring a background in estate planning and probate, which will add to the services we are able to offer our clients.

Janel graduated from the University of Washington Law School. She was selected for inclusion as a “Rising Star” in 2010 by Super Lawyers, and she has also received an “Excellent” rating by the online attorney-rating website www.avvo.com.
